ICS-300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents
This course provides training and resources to personnel who require advanced knowledge and application of the Incident Command System. The course expands upon information covered in the ICS/IS-100 and ICS/IS-200 courses.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
• Describe how the NIMS command and management component supports the management of expanding incidents.
• Describe the incident/event management process for supervisors as prescribed by the Incident Command System.
• Implement the incident management process in a simulated Type 3 incident.
• Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.
AUDIENCE
This course is intended for individuals and field (ICS) personnel who may be assigned supervisory roles during Type 1, 2, and 3 incidents.
