SUMMARY:MGT-341: Disaster Preparedness for Healthcare Organizations Within the Community Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:The National Infrastructure Protection Plan identified hospitals and healthcare organizations as critical infrastructure.  This course brings planning and management stakeholders from the hospital and healthcare sector together with supporting and impacted community leaders to ensure the resiliency of healthcare infrastructure services in the event of a high-consequence event.  Participants will examine preparedness processes and activities\, sector dependencies and interdependencies\, and discuss resiliency strategies to endure the sustainability of these facilities and organizations. \nParticipants successfully completing this course will receive a course certificate of completion.  Individuals who complete this course in combination with the MGT-317\, MGT-343 and MGT-345 are eligible for the TEEX Infrastructure Disaster Management Program Certificate. https://goo.gl/LqC2at \nRequired Pre-Requisites: FEMA Student ID and TEEX student ID (provided during registration on TEEX site). \nRecommended Pre-Requisites: ICS 100\, 200\, 700\, & 800 \nNote: Students must be US Citizens\, or green card holding permanent residents. Requests for non-citizens to attend must be submitted to TEEX for FEMA-DHS and Department of State approval no later than 60 days prior to a scheduled class.
