SUMMARY:NIHCC Healthcare Incident Command Training - Hayden
DESCRIPTION:The Northern Idaho Healthcare Coalition is sponsoring a free healthcare incident command training in Hayden. There is no virtual option available. \nThis training will focus on the first steps of incident command in a healthcare setting.  For those who attended the training this past March\, it will be the same course.  Many of you had expressed a desire to have coworkers attend this course which is why we are offering it again.  The plan is to offer an intermediate-level course in the spring. \n\nThursday\, November 19\n\n9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. PT\nKootenai County Office of Emergency Management – 1662 W Wyoming Ave\, Hayden\n\n\n\nLunch will be provided. \nThe training will be taught by Ken Mitchell\, MBA\, President and Principal Consultant at Evergreen EOC Solutions.  Ken has 12 years of experience in healthcare emergency management\, safety\, and environment of care compliance.  He has served in emergency management and safety leadership roles at Providence\, Kootenai Health\, and MultiCare Health System. \nAs President of Evergreen EOC Solutions\, Ken has assisted many clients to include hospitals\, ambulatory surgical centers\, rural health clinics\, behavioral health treatment centers\, and federally qualified health centers build robust emergency management\, safety\, and environment of care programs.  He has helped facilities achieve DNV-GL compliance as well as successfully navigate Joint Commission and CMS accreditation.  He has led facilities to be awarded ISO 9001 accreditation and has been on the Washington State Governor’s healthcare emergency management advisory board. \nWhile the training is provided at no cost\, registration is required via the link below. \nIt is recommended\, but not required\, that you take the following FEMA Incident Command courses prior to the class.  Both are offered online at no charge. \n\nIS-700: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System\nIS-100: An Introduction to the Incident Command System
