DESCRIPTION:MGT 384\, Preparing for Cyber Attacks and Incidents\, is designed to prepare organizations and communities for the next cyber attack or incident. During this 16- hour course\, participants will analyze cyber threats\, vulnerabilities\, and initial and cascading impacts of cyber attacks and incidents\, evaluate the process for developing a cyber preparedness program\, examine the importance and challenges of cyber related information sharing and discover low to no cost resources to help build cyber resilience. This course utilizes a team approach to capitalize on the synergy of traditional emergency response organizations\, SLTT governments\, military\, and public and private operators of critical infrastructure. \nTopics\n•Cyber threats and incidents\n•Initial and cascading impacts of cyber incidents\n•Cyber preparedness\n•NIST Cybersecurity Framework\n•CIS Controls\n•Developing a Cyber Preparedness Program\n•Information sharing\n•Situational awareness\n•Information sharing programs and resources\n•Resources for increasing cyber resilience \nCourse Length: 16 Hours (Two Days)\nCE Credits: 1.6 CEUs \nPrerequisites: None\nRecommendations: AWR-136 Essentials of Community Cybersecurity \nFEMA / SID Number\nStudents must have a FEMA Student Identification Number (SID) to attend class.
